Learn more now.
Aside from family mediation, Danielle Pond is also a Marriage and Family Therapist (IMT4023) and works in Fleming Island, FL. If you come to Danielle for marriage counseling, she cannot work with you for mediation and vice versa because of ethics guidelines. However, if you'd like to try to save the relationship - marriage counseling gives you the very best chance. In family mediation, we only deal with family law issues such as parenting schedules, child support calculations and division of assets. Family therapy is not like family mediation at all in that we approach each completely differently and have different goals in mind.
Danielle has a breadth of life experience that allows her to bring a unique openness and empathy to her work as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Danielle is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is passionate about helping military families and first responders and can relate to many of the trials and tribulations of being a military family who are often under pressure and on the move. Danielle also enjoys working with couples of all backgrounds including the LGBTQ community and can help process the challenges of minority stress, relational ambiguity, and obstacles to forming cohesive support systems among other typical couples’ challenges.
Danielle completed a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University and is now a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working towards full licensure. Danielle is trained in a variety of systemic models including EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) which is an evidence-based family therapy model proven to help couples and individuals with anxiety, depression, phobias, PTSD, infidelity recovery and more. Danielle has also completed training in Gottman Couples Counseling theory and interventions and has training on numerous other evidenced-based systemic family therapy theories and interventions. Danielle is experienced in assisting individuals and couples towards healing and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve optimal health and happiness in their lives and relationships.
